About Leandra

Leandra grew in a small town of Moca in the Dominican Republic. From very early childhood, she grew with the inspiration of hair artists At the age of 13, she began developing her abilities of designing and working with different hair textures.Leandra expresses "I think that although there is a pattern on how to coloring, cut or a style, each hairdresser brings theirs unique way of designing it". Throughout her professional career as a hairdresser, Leandra has participated in multiple seminars for coloring, balayage, cuts, makeup, and more. She has received numerous certificates upon completing these seminars, and has been recognized for her high achievements.She has a degree in cosmetology from the Academia de Belleza Orfelina de Bellas Artes in Dominican Republic where she graduated with high honors. At the age of 20 Leandra became the owner of her first beauty salon, the Rossi salon, where she became famously known for her unique and innovative styles....At the age of 23 Leandra decided to move to the U.S. There she complemented her experience and education by attending the well know Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica, California. While in CA, Leandra took it as a personal challenge to try different types of hair and explored the knowledge of being a hair artist that she has always have inside, working with diverse cultures, and exploring exciting new innovations I love what I do" says Leandra, "its in my blood... I am an artist, creative, spontaneous, with love for fashion ,I give all of myself to my work. I have a strong passion , knowing that when a client sits in my chair, theywill leave completely satisfied. doing with love because it is my instinct ,Sharing my knowledge, learning every day more is what keeps my passion going. I believe this is a profession where you never stop learning. As fashion continuously changes and evolves, hair designer changes and learning becomes a constant companion.
